LOTTO JACKPOT AT A STAGGERING R15 MILLION

LOTTO players will be vying for an estimated R15 million LOTTO Jackpot this Saturday.

The Jackpot increased from Wednesday’s R12, 5 million after none of the tickets sold matched all the winning numbers for that draw.

National Lottery Operator Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana said the LOTTO game continues to bring excitement to players, with the game having produced five millionaires during the month of February.

“One of these winners is a 51-year old woman from Kimberly who walked away with the R8 million Jackpot that was on offer on the 3rd of February, said Tulwana.

The winner, who had never won anything before, had invested R10 on a Quick Pick ticket that earned her the multimillionaire status.

Contrary to what most winners do after they discover their windfall, the unemployed mother and grandmother could not hold back her excitement and decided to share the news.

“I just had to tell my family about the win,” she said.

The visibly enthusiastic winner said she did not plan to change her life in a drastic way but would like to renovate her house.

Tulwana said it was very fulfilling to see the happiness and positive change that “our games bring to people’s lives”.
