R13MILLION POWERBALL JACKPOT ON OFFER

There is never a dull moment in the world of PowerBall – this Friday’s estimated Jackpot is a cool R13million.
While there was no Jackpot winner for Tuesday’s R8million draw, six lucky winners shared the second division prize, with each one of them pocketing R179, 481. From the third division, 58 players won R13, 037 each.
So far, only one of the six winners, a 48-year old unemployed man from the Western Cape, has come forward to claim their prize.
National Lottery Operator Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana said there was about R6,7million in unclaimed PowerBall prizes since the game began in October last year.

Tulwana said it was extremely important for players to sign and keep their tickets safe and for them to call our player line 0800 777 777 as soon as they realize that they have a winning ticket as it is important for them to know what documentation to bring with when they go to claim.
“Players need to get into the habit of writing their full names and ID numbers at the back of the ticket immediately after making the purchase.
“Treat your ticket as if it were cash because it is a bearer instrument without which you cannot claim your prize,” said Tulwana.
Players have a period of one year to claim their prizes after which all rights to the prize are forfeited.
