The winner shared that they were so anxious throughout the period before eventually claiming that they kept their ticket wrapped in toilet paper and tucked into their diary, figuring that nobody would be curious or even inclined to touch someone else’s tissue.

“I eventually phoned the ITHUBA call centre and subsequently visited the ITHUBA office where I learned that I was R40 million richer!” said the jubilant winner.

In an inspiring turn of events, the latest National Lottery winner has attributed their life-changing fortune to their ancestors and God. While the winner remained reserved about their specific plans with their R40 million prize, their heartfelt gratitude shone through.
