First PowerBall Plus winner of R23.2 million announced

ITHUBA, National Lottery Operator, is delighted to announce its first PowerBall Plus jackpot winner of R23.2 million. After the jackpot rolled over nine times, it was finally won by a KwaZulu Natal player. The ticket was bought from a Checkers store in Overport, KZN. The PowerBall Plus rollover jackpot was for Tuesday, 05 January 2016.

PowerBall Plus is a new addition to the lottery games and was launched at the end of November 2015. Since launching in November, PowerBall Plus has created over 1.6 million winners.
