ITHUBA, the proud operator of the National Lottery in South Africa, leads the way in localisation and reinforces its position as a leader in the gaming industry, particularly when it comes to technology.

As a company committed to meeting the needs of South Africans, ITHUBA understands the importance of resonating with the local population, which is why it has invested heavily in localisation across all facets of the business. With over eight years of experience in the gaming industry, ITHUBA has developed a deep understanding of the South African market and the unique needs of its players. This understanding has enabled ITHUBA to create games that are not only engaging and entertaining but also resonate with South Africans at a cultural level. From the themes and symbols used in its games to the language and tone of its marketing campaigns, ITHUBA is committed to ensuring that its offerings are a reflection of the South African experience.

ITHUBA has made significant investments in its online platform, which has been designed to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience for players. The platform includes a range of features and functionalities that have been tailored to the specific needs of South African players, including a mobile app that enables players to play the games on the go. One of the key initiatives implemented by ITHUBA is the on boarding of several banking partners to ensure that players have multiple options to play the National Lottery games straight from their bank account. South Africa is one of the only National Lotteries in the world that offers National Lottery tickets through banking platforms. This has made it easier for players to participate in the games, regardless of their location.

ITHUBA has also implemented a robust player access plan that takes into account the realities of South African life. This plan includes features such as mobile ticket sales and a network of retail outlets that are conveniently located throughout the country. By making it easy for players to access its games, ITHUBA has been able to expand its reach and bring the excitement of the National Lottery to even more South Africans.

As part of its commitment to localisation, ITHUBA has developed several locally relevant games, including Lobola Cash, Fafi Fortune, and Morabaraba. ITHUBA's game designers have a deep understanding of South African culture and the unique gaming preferences of South African players. This knowledge has enabled them to create games that not only resonate with local audiences but also reflect the rich cultural heritage of the country.

"ITHUBA is committed to creating games that are not only entertaining but also culturally relevant and meaningful to our players," said Charmaine Mabuza, CEO of ITHUBA. "By developing games like Lobola Cash, Fafi Fortune, and Morabaraba, we are able to connect with our players on a deeper level and offer them a gaming experience that is truly unique."

ITHUBA's localisation efforts are not limited to gaming and technology. The company is also invested over R20 million in the last twelve months dedicated to localising its CSI projects to ensure that they meet the specific needs of South African communities. By focusing on education and women's empowerment, ITHUBA is working to create a more equitable and prosperous future for all South Africans.

Through its ITHUBA Bursary program, the company provides financial assistance to underprivileged students who are pursuing higher education. The program offers bursaries to students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need, helping them to achieve their educational goals and contribute to the growth and development of South Africa.

ITHUBA is also committed to promoting women's empowerment, both within the company and in the wider community. The company has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at supporting and promoting women in the workplace, including mentorship programs and leadership development workshops. This effort, however, is not limited to employees of ITHUBA but extends to retail partners. The Female Retailer Programme trains and upskills women from marginalised backgrounds in rural areas and informal settlements. These women are provided with skills and formal education to acquire business qualifications and the acumen that will help them build successful businesses.

"At ITHUBA, we believe that our success as a company is inextricably linked to the success of the communities we serve," said Charmaine Mabuza, CEO of ITHUBA. "That's why we're committed to using our resources and expertise to make a positive impact on South Africa, particularly in the areas of education and women's empowerment."

By investing in localisation, ITHUBA is not only providing an exceptional gaming experience but also contributing to the growth and development of the South African economy.
