EASTERN CAPE MAN CLAIMS R20, 995, 899.42 FROM LOTTO PLUS 1 JACKPOT

The man who played via quick-pick on the Standard Bank app, was in absolute shock after he was called and told that he had won.
“I was in complete disbelief when I was informed that I had won the jackpot, I kept on checking the numbers as well on the Standard Bank SMS notification as well,” said the winner.

JOHANNESBURG BUSINESS MAN CLAIMS OVER R60 MILLION POWERBALL PLUS JACKPOT

The winner received a call from FNB while he was at his business premises, and was advised that he had won over R250 000, and needed to go to the ITHUBA office to process his winnings.
“When I received the call, I thought it was one of the telemarketers. The person I spoke to informed me that I had won, they gave me a reference number and told me about the required documents that I needed to take to ITHUBA. During this call, I was in disbelief, but I remained calm and didn’t panic,” he said.
“After the call, I logged into my online banking to check the numbers, and the rest is history,” he added.
The winner further elaborated that since he has now won the PowerBall PLUS jackpot, he will be investing a portion of the money, and will use some of it to plough back into his business. He will also honour his father who taught him everything regarding the business world and has contributed significantly towards his growth as a person.
“I am a workaholic, and my family hardly sees me as I am always the first one to leave the house and the last to arrive, my wife and children know that my life revolves around my work,” said the businessman.
The winner started his business in 2016 and currently employs 25 people. Prior to that, he worked for various companies as a workshop manager and in the process, taught himself critical business skills. When he does have a moment of rest, he enjoys watching rugby and soccer at home with his friends.

YOUNG CALL CENTRE AGENT WINS JACKPOT FOR OVER R72 MILLION ON POWERBALL

This is one of the youngest multi-millionaires made by the National Lottery to date, and she is already considering retiring. She joined the insurance industry through a learnership programme in 2013, however, she has always wanted to pursue a career in law.
When asked about her plans for her new-found fortune, she highlighted that she will be upgrading her lifestyle and will be treating herself and her family to the best of the ‘soft life’.
“I will definitely be buying a car that is more aligned with my new life, and I will be buying a house for myself and my family, I also look forward to living a fancy lifestyle,” said the winner.
“We have always wanted to travel to France and other European countries as a family,” she added.
The young multi-millionaire grew up in Limpopo and has two siblings and a mother. She is also currently engaged to be married.
As an FNB client, she was in disbelief when an agent phoned her to advise her that she had won over R250 000, and that she needed to go to the ITHUBA office to process her winnings.
“I honestly thought the phone call was a scam, as I also didn’t believe that there were people who actually win millions from the National Lottery because they are always anonymous and their identities are hidden when they take photos with the cheque.
“Although I do play the National Lottery games, I just believed that people only won hundreds of thousands, but never millions,” said the winner.
“But now I do believe it and I also see how possible it is for someone’s life to change in an instant, this morning I woke up a millionaire,” she added.
